Obama's Message

From the Daily Mail:
"Obama's New Years Message"

President Obama has ushered in the New Year by sharing a sweet snap of him and his First Lady.  'Ring in the new year with the one you love,' he wrote in the tweet.  Accompanying the message was a photo of the couple, Obama's hands wrapped around Michelle as he gazes adoringly at her while she smiles for the camera.  The president also took to Facebook to share a New Years message, one that focused on his achievements from 2015 and looked ahead as his final year in the White House begins.  Obama wished Americans a happy New Year and said there was plenty for him to be 'grateful for' from the past year. 'Businesses that continued an all-time record streak of job creation; a health care system that covers more than 90 percent of us for the first time,' he began in his list.  'A country where all our marriages are equal under the law for the first time; a world united around a prosperous, low-carbon future for the first time.'   But Obama revealed it was the very citizens he serves that he was most grateful for, and the fact that he was their president.  "It's your hard work, determination, and fundamental decency that led us forward through 2015, and that will keep leading us forward in 2016,' he wrote.   'Because of you, as long as I've had the privilege to serve in this office, I've never been more optimistic for a year ahead.' Obama concluded his message by revealing that his resolution was to use 'every day' he has left in office to 'keep making the promise of this country a reality for all of us'.  The message was posted with a picture of Obama giving high fives to a group of young school children.
