This new show just started tonight and while I do not believe it is fully unscripted I do think it is fun to watch people make minor mistakes that get them easily caught. The first group caught didn't even seem to make any effort to stay out of sight (other than wigs.) They were going from their home in SC to their parents in GA. You would think they would try their bets to stay away from close family (at least in the very beginning.) There's one group that is interesting to follow. The guy is a former criminal turned lawyer who says he has been on the run before and his partner clearly hasn't (she gave the "hunters" their whole escape plan on one calendar. It would be nice if that team could go further in the show, but the one partner may have ruined it right off the bat. The third team took a truck with one of their last names written all over it - not very smart when you are trying not to be caught.
As I already said I don't think this show isn't unscripted (at least the main parts.) The participants should have the whole US to go on the run and not a very defined space. Also, the "hunters" seemed to get way too much within a few seconds of the participants running. I understand that some of them did dumb things right off the bat, but it just seems too easy to have all the answers in a matter of minutes. If that was really the case then there would be no FBI's Most Wanted, no uncaught terrorists or violent criminals.
With all of this said I am not so sure I could stay "hidden" for 28 days or any amount of time without being caught. Even though I live on a isolated mountain I have posted lots of things on social media (even though my phone doesn't work up here) and probably could be found out sooner or later. Of course if I absolutely had to go on the run I hope that I at least wouldn't make simple mistakes that would get me caught so quickly.
