English has been the
International Language for half the world since 1945 (73 years) and for the
whole world since 1991 (27 years.) English dominates in every sphere of life
(travel, business, science, military, culture, etc.) and people around the
world who do not know or use English are at a severe disadvantage. The English
Language is not only useful for native English speakers to communicate with
each other, but for non-native English speakers to speak with other non-native
English speakers.
