Kiva

Several years ago I got $50 in birthday money and someone told me about a charity called Kiva that gives loans to people around the US and the world (you can pick exactly who to send your money to.) I used that $50 and helped 2 people in 2 countries and whenever the amount I get paid back reaches $25 (the minimum amount) I loan it to someone else. I have since helped 7 people in 6 different countries. It all started with that birthday present.
