2016 Candidates

People have asked me what I think about the 2016 Presidential Election. Here is a brief summary of the main candidates:

Sanders: He is like your old uncle that you take out only for parties. He says a bunch of things no one understands, you laugh because he makes you uncomfortable and then he is put away until the next party.

Clinton: There are only two reasons I would want her to win. (1) to call Bill "First Lady" and (2) to have her know  that every time she sat at the Oval Office desk just what Bill did  - or I should say who he did - and to know that he lied, under oath, to the nation about it and she stayed with him for her political career. She has shown in her own-right that she doesn't have the knowledge or will-power to deal with the real threats our nation faces everyday. Even Sanders knows how to use e-mail and she's much older than her.

Cruz: He was born in Canada and so isn't constitutionally-allowed to be President. If people were saying Obama couldn't have been President if he was born in Kenya to an American mother than I see no difference as to Cruz not being allowed to be President by being born in Canada to an American mother.

Trump: He is more of a showman rather than an actual candidate. While I agree with his healthcare reform proposal I don't see him as being a good President because he just likes to make a scene for the cameras rather than taking things seriously.

Rubio: He doesn't really stand-out on anything.

This election is really one where I don't hope 1 candidate outright wins. It is really a mixture of not wanting others to win (Trump, Clinton or Sanders) and so hoping that anyone other than those can get it together and win. Realistically, I don't think that will happen. It would be great if another candidate could magically enter the race and gain support from all sides. It really is trying to find the lesser of 3 evils at this point. Unlike some people I am not one to cry and say that if so-and-so wins I will leave the US. Those people are usually spineless and all-talk in everything they "do." I could easily move to Canada - I am Canadian-American after all - but for better or worse I will stay here and see what happens. Hopefully, whomever is elected will bring the country only good things since we have had to survive nearly 8 years with an inept President and deserve someone who can fix things domestically and internationally.
