From Disability Scoop:
“Proms Expected To Draw Over 100,000 With Disabilities”
Hundreds
of proms designed to accommodate people with disabilities are set to take place
at venues around the world all on a single night leading up to Valentine’s Day.
Over
100,000 guests are expected at the events being held this Friday at more than
720 churches in all 50 states and 56 countries. The series of free proms for
people with special needs are part of the Tim Tebow Foundation’s annual “Night
to Shine.”
The
events are open to individuals with disabilities ages 14 and up and often
feature a red carpet with friendly paparazzi, limousine rides, hair and makeup
stations, dancing and dinner, among other activities. Proms also offer each
guest the opportunity to be crowned king or queen.
More
than 555,000 people with disabilities around the world have attended proms
since Night to Shine began in 2014, the Tim Tebow Foundation said.
