From EuroMaiden Press’ Facebook:
Ukrainian Nature Photographer Denys Kryvyi was killed while
attempting to save his injured Comrades on the front near Bakhmut.
Kryvyi, whose photographs were featured in National
Geographic and who held a blue FIAP ribbon, specialized in landscape and
reportage photography, demonstrating expertise in capturing animals and aerial
scenes. His works are showcased in the travel guides of the National Nature
Park Buzkyi Gard.
Denys’s wife, Halyna Volhina, conveyed the heartbreaking news
of his death, saying, "Today, I learned that I have lost the best and most
important person in my life - my husband, my friend, my sunshine, and the best
father to our two little girls. Denia is gone. He perished in Bakhmut while
bravely attempting to save his wounded comrades. He was a hero and a protector
who always went above and beyond, yet he never believed it was enough. He chose
his path willingly and walked it honorably. Let us remember him!”
The National Nature Park Buzkyi Gard acknowledged Denys’s
extensive experience as a photographer and his status as a laureate of numerous
international photo awards, while also highlighting his active collaboration
with National Geographic Ukraine.
Denys Kryvyi is the 58th Media Professional to lose his life
due to Russian Aggression, as reported by the Institute of Mass Information
