I saw this on Facebook and after hearing the Pope's comments in Mexico I had to repost this. I am not a Trump supporter. I have liked Pope Francis ever since he became Pope and seemed to be bringing the Catholic Church into the 21st Century - the same way Pope John Paul 2nd was bringing the Catholic Church into the 20th Century. I do not agree at all with the Pope's comments in Mexico. For one he showed the Vatican's hypocrisy in that they have walls surrounding the Vatican - which protected them from the Nazis during World War 2 the same way all the different walls being built around the world are protecting those places against illegal immigration, terrorism, drug and human trafficking, etc. If the Pope considers walls not being "Christian" than what does that say about the Vatican and its leader - the Pope? Also, you may disagree with a person's comments, but to "play" the religious card just because you don't agree - and that person isn't calling for any violence against others - doesn't bode well on your own image. This is a major set-back for both the Catholic Church and Pope Francis. I still respect the Pope and hope he learns from his mistaken words and moves forward to promote great things within the Church rather than letting his own personal feelings dictate his actions. Sadly, it was Trump who won in Mexico without having even been there.
