Gay Rights

June is Gay Pride Month.

Many People think that Discrimination of Homosexuals is something of the past, but unfortunately, Homosexuals have become a favored scapegoat for Modern-day Politicians and Other People who are trying to deflect away from the real problems occurring (Mass Shootings, Scandals, High Unemployment, Lack of Security, the Rise of Dictatorships, the increase of Hate Crimes, etc.)

As of June 2023 only 34 Countries recognize Same-Sex Marriage:

The Netherlands (nationwide since 2016)

Belgium (since 2003)

Spain (nationwide since 2005)

Canada (nationwide since 2005)

South Africa (since 2006)

Norway (since 2009)

Sweden (since 2009)

Portugal (nationwide since 2010)

Iceland (since 2010)

Argentina (since 2010)

Denmark (nationwide since 2017)

Brazil (nationwide since 2013)

France (nationwide since 2013)

Uruguay (since 2013)

New Zealand (since 2013 – except in Niue)

Luxembourg (since 2015)

Mauritania Death Penalty for Men Only, Women get Prison or a Fine.

Nigeria (since 1916) Death

Somalia Death

Uganda (since 1902 when it was a British Colony) with Death for Men (since 2023) and Life Imprisonment for Women since 2000.

Malawi (since 1891 when it was a British Colony) with Death for Men and 5 years imprisonment for Women.

Iran Death Penalty for Men and Death Penalty for Women after their 4th Offense.

Qatar Illegal for Men Only (Non-Muslim Men get 7 years imprisonment and Muslim Men get Death.)

Saudi Arabia Illegal for Men Only with Death for the 2nd Offense.

United Arab Emirates Death

Yemen Death for Men and 7 years imprisonment for Women.

Afghanistan Death

Brunei Death by stoning for Men and caning and 10 years prison for Women.

Algeria (since 1966) with 3 years imprisonment and fines of 10,000 Dinars.

 Egypt (since 2000 for Men only) with 17 years imprisonment with or without Hard Labor and with or without Fines.

Libya (since 1953) with 5 years imprisonment.

Morocco (since 1962) with 3 to 6 years imprisonment with Hard Labor.

Sudan: (since 1899) when it was under British Rule) Life Imprisonment for a third offense.

Tunisia (since 1913 when it was a French Colony) with 3 years imprisonment.

Gambia (since 1888 when it was a British Colony) with Life Imprisonment.

Ghana (since 1892 when it was a British Colony – for Men only) with 3 years imprisonment.

Guinea (since 1988) with 6 months to 10 years imprisonment,

Ethiopia with 15 years imprisonment.

Kenya (since 1897 when it was a British Colony) with 14 years imprisonment.

South Sudan (since 1899 when it was a British Colony) with 10 years imprisonment.

Tanzania (since 1864 when it was a British Colony) with Life Imprisonment.

Uganda (since 1902 when it was a British Colony) with Death for Men (since 2023) and Life Imprisonment for Women since 2000.

Comoros with 5 years imprisonment and fines.

Mauritius for Men only with Male illegal 5 years imprisonment.

Eswatini (since the 1880s when it was a British Colony).

Malawi (since 1891 when it was a British Colony) with Death for Men and 5 years imprisonment for Women.

Namibia (since 1920 when it was British Colony – for Men only).

Dominica: 10-year prison sentence or incarceration in a psychiatric institution.

Grenada: Illegal for Men Only with a 10-year prison sentence.

Jamaica: Illegal for Men Only with 10 years of  Hard Labor.

Saint Lucia: Illegal for Men Only with a Fine and/or 10-year prison sentence.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines: Illegal for Men Only with a Fine and/or 10-year prison sentence.

Guyana Life Imprisonment.

Turkmenistan Illegal for Men Only with 2 years imprisonment.

Kuwait Illegal for Men Only with Fines or up to 6-year prison sentence.

Lebanon Illegal for Men Only with 1 year imprisonment.

Oman Illegal for Men Only with Fines and prison sentence up to 3 years.

Gaza Strip Illegal for Men Only with 10 years imprisonment.

Florida, USA (since 2022) It is illegal to support or talk about Homosexuality in Public Schools (Florida Parental Rights in Education Act.)

Texas, USA It is illegal to support or talk about Homosexuality in Public Schools (Anti-LGBT Curriculum Laws.)

Alabama, USA (since 2022) It is illegal to support or talk about Homosexuality in Public Schools.

American Samoa, USA Gay Marriage is illegal since it is a Special US Territory.

 

You don't have to be Homosexual to support Equal Rights for Gays and Lesbians.

You just have to be Straight and not Narrow.
