Shutdown Propaganda

I "love" the hypocrites (especially the President) that say and post things that call anyone that doesn't agree with them a "terrorist." I watched Obama give a speech yesterday where he called the people supporting the shutdown a "terrorist." I guess he thinks comparing people who non-violently disagree with him with people who fly planes into buildings or attack embassies and murder people is funny. I find it offensive and completely ignorant for him to say such things. It is one thing to disagree with people (it is everyone's right) and another thing to say things that refer to violence and murder with people who are using non-violent means. It follows the same "logic" that people used from the 1940s-1990s when they called anyone who disagreed with them a "communist." Words like "communist" or "terrorist" in this context only shows that the people using the terms have no great argument or sense of integrity (they are basically being bullies) and are only "fishing" for words that people will associate these non-violent people with those that do/did murderous things. People who repost or share comments that include these statements are just as guilty for helping to spread the idea as the person/people who said them in the first-place. I sometimes share things on Facebook that I first thought were good and then when I re-read them I think differently and take them down. People need to stand behind and completely understand what they say and write otherwise they shouldn't say or write anything.

He sure is playing up the victim card because he can't go on his trip. He forgets that the real victims are the ones that can't afford food, much less a trip because of all of this. Maybe him calling people who don't support him a "terrorist" is a good thing. At least in Gitmo you don't have a mortgage (which many can't pay since they don't get paid while not working), you get 3 meals a day and the government - not the individual - pays for your health care.
I do not agree with the shut-down at all. The US Government (ie the President and Congress) have an obligation to keep the country running and shutting down the Federal Government does just the opposite. I blame all the officials in DC for this current-state. All of them need to stop worrying about their own agenda and start worrying about how their actions (or inactions) are affecting ordinary Americans. They forget that the people have the power, in the end, and if things don't start working again we will simply change things in November and then again in 2016.
