"Lawyer: Van der Sloot getting married in Peru"

Convicted Dutch murderer Joran van der Sloot is planning nuptials with a Peruvian woman in the prison where he's serving a 28-year sentence. His attorney Maximo Altez tells The Associated Press they are awaiting permission from penal authorities for a wedding within two weeks in Piedras Gordas prison. Altez would not name the bride. Press reports say she is Leydi Figueroa Uceda, who has visited Van der Sloot often. Altez denied press reports that she bore Van der Sloot a son. Altez sought on Wednesday a sentence reduction for Van der Sloot, who pleaded guilty to the brutal 2010 murder of a young Lima woman he met in a casino. Van der Sloot remains the chief suspect in the 2005 disappearance in his native Aruba of U.S. teen Natalee Holloway.

^ This is just such a dumb story. Sloot was convicted of murdering a Peruvian woman after he admitted (on Dutch TV) that he killed Natalee Holloway and now some unintelligent Peruvian woman is going to marry him even though he can't leave prison for the next 20 years or so. It just goes to show you that sometimes there is no justice especially when others help cover things up like I'm sure happened in Aruba. I went to Aruba a few years after Holloway disappeared (as a tourist) and found the people I dealt with there to be eager to scam people. ^
