From Snow To Heat

Just 6 days ago we had temperatures of 29 F and snow and now we are in a heatwave with temperatures of 95 F and humidity that makes it feel like walking into an oven when you go outside. I have been to places that usually have this hazy, hot and humid weather (Texas, Georgia and when I lived in Virginia) but we aren't supposed to get that kind of weather here in northern New England - especially not at the beginning of June. We have all the air conditioners running and are just trying to stay cool. Later tonight and into tomorrow we are supposed to get thunderstorms that will lower the temperatures a little - not a whole lot though. I guess after the cold and snowy winter we had (that held on into the end of May) we may now have a hot and humid summer. I wish we could have Fall weather all year where it is chilly at night and warm during the day.
