CO Trip: Part 1

My parents and I left our house around 4 am last Friday. We had a quick breakfast at McDonald’s and then continued to the airport. It seems that every time we go to the airport it snows or rains heavily and this time it rained. We had no issue parking, checking-in, going through security or finding our gate. We pre-boarded (which was good since the airline over-booked the flight and were requesting “many people” to take a later flight. On a side note: this same airline is stopping the non-stop service to Denver on November 3rd – which doesn’t make sense since every time I take the flight there or back it is completely full. Back to the flight. The head flight attendant was pretty annoying (always singing, etc) it was not professional at all. The flight was bumpy and in the 4 hours we were on it we could only get up for less than an hour. When we landed in Denver my dad got the chair – with some difficulty since the airport/airline people didn’t help him. We took the train to the main terminal where we met up with my sister and got our bags with no issue (unlike when we went there last January.) We then headed to Colorado Springs. CO Springs had several wildfires around the city (not as bad as they were last year when they ended the city) but everywhere you looked people were talking about the fires – which you couldn’t see from anywhere I was.
