Pariu cu viața

I recently found out about this Romanian TV show through YouTube. The title means: "Bet Your Life." I don't know much about the storylines as it is in Romanian, but it is basically the Romanian version of "Glee." I am writing about it because I find it interesting that the singers in this show (who almost always sing in English) are so good at it. Their English almost never has an accent. I think this is because the singers are all in their 20s and have learned English by following American movies, TV, etc. Had they been older (like their parents) they would have learned Russian as it was a Communist ally. The show's young cast:  Alina Eremia, Dorian Popa, Cristina Ciobănașu, Sore Mihalache, Raphael Tudor, Liviu Teodorescu, Mihai Mititescu and Vlad Gherman are a whose who of popular Romanian celebrities. The shows has gone beyond Romania and can now be seen in: Moldova, Mexico, Italy, Australia and Canada. Maybe one-day it will air in the US and the storylines in English so more people will be able to see and understand it.
