Amazon MA Tax

From WMUR:
"Amazon.com to collect sales tax from Mass. residents"

Online retailer Amazon.com has reached a deal with Massachusetts to start collecting sales tax from Bay State residents. The deal that kicks in Nov. 1, 2013, was announced by Gov. Deval Patrick on Tuesday. The announcement said the state and Amazon will work together toward enactment of federal legislation to resolve the issue of taxes for online sales, and added that Amazon plans to add hundreds of jobs in Massachusetts. Patrick said the deal is a "win for all sides."

^ This is a definitely not "a win for all sides" as the MA Governor claims. The people who loose are the residents of Massachusetts who shop online and now have to pay a 6% tax. I don't think Amazon should have agreed to it and should have fought it in court. They threw their customers from MA under the bus. ^
