Electronic Ukraine

From UNIAN:
"Ukraine to introduce electronic visas for foreigners in 2018"

Next year, Ukraine is set to introduce electronic visas for foreigners entering the country, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Zayats said in an interview with LB.ua. "Next year we are planning to introduce Ukraine’s electronic entry visa, which will unload our consular offices at airports. When 40-50 foreigners arrive on a single flight and all of them need to obtain a visa on the spot, the first contact with Ukraine is not really successful for them psychologically,” Zayats told LB.ua. “Preparatory procedures have already been conducted and I think that during the first quarter of 2018 an electronic visa will become a reality," he said. As reported earlier, Egypt began issuing electronic visas for Ukrainian travelers.

^ For countries that require citizens to have visas to visit I think it is a very good idea to offer electronic visas. That way it allows the person to know before they arrive that they were granted a visa and it also helps the Immigration officer know who is coming beforehand. ^
