12th Pictures

^ I took these pictures myself in Northern Ireland. The first picture is in Belfast. The red, white and blue of the British flag painted everywhere and the murals painted on the buildings let people know they are entering a Protestant area and that Catholics are not welcomed or safe there. The second picture is in Derry/Londonderry (Catholics call it Derry and Protestants call it Londonderry.) The green, white and orange of the Irish flag painted everywhere and the murals painted on the buildings let people know they are entering a Catholic area and that Protestants are not welcomed or safe there.  The third picture is in and shows the Peace Walls that separate the Protestant neighborhoods from the Catholic neighborhoods through much of Northern Ireland. The fourth picture is in Belfast and shows where the Peace Walls divide streets for vehicles and pedestrians the walls have doors that open during the day and are closed at night (with signs tells when that happens.) The cages on the houses are there to protect against bombs and rocks thrown over the Peace Walls.  ^
