Putin promised to the Russian People: "I will not let Russia slip back to the terrible ‘90s!" And he was not lying:

Thousands of Ukrainian Civilians blocking the Russian Army.)
- In 2022 $1 US Dollar is 120
Russian Ruble (In the 1990s $1 US Dollar was 12 Russian Rubles)
- In 2022, It is all but illegal
for a Russian to get Euros or US Dollars when they are available at the Banks
and ATMs (in the 1990s US Dollars were the most widely used Currency inside
Russia.)
- In 2022 Russian Airlines are banned
for 30 countries (they were allowed in the 1990s)
- In 2022, Russia is banned from
using AMX, MasterCard and Visa (they were allowed to in the 1990s.)
- In 2022 the following companies
have stopped their operations in Russia:
BP, Shell, Exxon Mobil, General Motors, Volkswagen, Volvo, Daimler, Honda,
BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Harley Davidson, Ford, Disney, Warner Media, Sony Pictures,
Netflix, Apple, Snapchat, Dell, Google,
FIFA, Adidas, Boeing, Airbus, Roku, Facebook, Instagram, Nike, DirecTv, YouTube,
Maersk Shipping Lines, Facebook Pay (all of these that were around the world in
the 1990s were also in Russia.)
- In 2022 Russia has lost 498 Soldiers
- according to the Russian Government- in 6 days (in the 1990s Russian-
Chechnya War they lost that number in 3 months)
- In 2022 the Russian Government
has called any Russian Citizen who runs on a Bank or ATM to get Rubles, Dollars
or Euros or tries to horde food, water and other basics as “Traitors to Mother
Russia” (in the 1990s Rubles and Dollars flowed in Russia - there were no Euros
- and food from inside and outside of
Russia was plentiful.)
- In 2022 Russia is on the verge
of an Economic Depression (while there were Ruble Crisis in 1991, 1998 they
weren’t in Depressions.)
No, it is clearly not the
terrible 1990s in Russia. It is much worse and will only continue to fall
because of Putin.
