“Braille Letters from Santa”
Santa Claus knows braille and is
ready to send letters from the North Pole!
This Christmas your child or student can participate in the holiday fun
and receive a letter from Santa. Elves
are standing by to send free braille letters to children in the United States,
Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Portugal.
BrailleWorks (USA) BrailleWorks
will send letters from Santa in braille.
Santa offers a choice of four different letters that can be embossed and
sent in large print and braille to children in the United States. Requests must be made by December 6 in order
for all letters to arrive by Christmas.

National Federation of the
Blind (NFB) (USA) A girl sits on Santa's lapStaff at the NFB Jernigan
Institute will send letters in braille to boys and girls under the age of 10 in
the United States. Submit the form by December 17 to be sure that Santa gets a
letter out to your child from the North Pole in print and contracted braille.
RNIB (Royal National Institute
of Blind People) (UK) Elves at RNIB sends letters to children in the United
Kingdom in their preferred reading format, including uncontracted braille
(grade 1), contracted braille (grade 2), large print (please specify the font
size) or audio CD. Replies can be sent
in English or Welsh. The deadline is December 1 to receive something by postal
mail or December 22 to receive an email from Santa.
New Zealand Post and Blind Foundation To receive a response in braille, parents/guardians can email santa@nzpost.co.nz with their child’s first name, surname and postal address. Please write "Braille" in the subject line.

Santa Responds to Braille in
Canada Santa has teamed up with T-Base Communications to respond in braille
to children who are blind or low vision who send him a letter. If you or
someone you know would like to send a wish list to Santa and receive a reply in
braille, please mail a letter to him by Dec. 12. (If you send one after, he might not have
enough time to respond before Dec. 25!)
