Tried to explain to someone that just because I know the Cyrillic Alphabet used in Russian doesn't mean I know or understand any of the other 12 languages that use Cyrillic letters. It's the same way that just because I know the Latin Alphabet used in English doesn't mean I know or understand any of the other 135 languages that use Latin letters.
