Celtic Thunder

Last night my mom and I went to see "Celtic Thunder" in concert. We bought the tickets several months ago and since then got numerous e-mails and one letter stating a bunch of changes (ie the show's start time and even what type of show it will be.) We went to the Olive Garden for dinner and tried their new special. It was really good and then we drove to the theater. We were lucky to find a parking spot block away.
When we were let into the theater we had to take an elevator down a floor to our seat. The ushers were pretty helpful. I was very shocked to see that the average age of the people at the concert was 80. I don't know if it was just this particular audience at this theater or if it just the group's demographic. Not only were they old, but they were also very loud and fairly large.
The show was good, but not the best. I don't care for two of the new members (Emmet and Daniel.) I would have liked to see the old group back together. While I still like the group's music I don't think I would ever go to another of their concerts. It was just a little too weird for me.

  1. I have noticed that about the audiences for groups like "Celtic Thunder" and "Celtic Woman." Whenever they have a special on TV and also on DVDs, the audience is usually old white people!
