KSAR: Costs

From the Kabul Small Animal Rescue’s Facebook:

These days are busy with paperwork and logistics on multiple continents, with staff and volunteers working around the clock. We might not be on the ball with social media updates, but trust that we are busy ensuring the trip is smooth, safe, and comfortable for our precious cargo. Our little charges of course don't yet know they will leave, so it is business as usual with naps and playtime as the hustle and bustle goes on outside.

We have set up a fundraiser for ongoing operational costs, because we will still have a lot of animals with us when the plane leaves--all our young puppies, the animals that come in daily and aren't yet ready to travel, those who have no placement yet, our tortoises and sheep and birds. So we will have our hands full, but hopefully not quite as overwhelmingly so. As winter just settles in here, the air a cold gray smoggy suck of coal smoke and burnt generator fuel, we know we've got a long hard road to spring, but we're confident we will be able to continue our life-saving operations here with your help.

^ KSAR could easily just leave Afghanistan (especially their owner who is an American), but they are putting helping the abandoned and abused animals over everything else. ^
